[thoughtful] Here's something that surprised me: a systematic review of twenty randomized controlled trials found no statistically significant difference in the relative efficacy of cognitive therapy and exposure therapy for PTSD, OCD, and panic disorder, but it did find a statistically significant difference favoring cognitive therapy over exposure in social phobia.
