The free Bliss Crystals library covers 333 crystals. Shoppers can browse by zodiac sign, birth month or intention, and every stone's traditional associations are labeled as tradition.
Ask most people how they picked their favorite crystal, and the answer is rarely technical. It was their birthstone. It matched their star sign. Or it was tied to something they wanted more of, like calm, courage or love. Bliss Crystals, a crystal and jewelry retailer in Temecula, California, has built its free online library around exactly those starting points. It covers 333 stones.
There are three ways in. The first is the birth month. The library's birthstone chart starts with the modern list most jewelers use, which the American jewelry trade first set in 1912. It has changed a few times since. Tanzanite joined December in 2002, and spinel joined August in 2016. Each month's guide then adds the older traditions behind the stone, and the color to look for.
The second way in is the zodiac. Each of the 12 signs has its own page, with the stones crystal tradition has long tied to it. Here is a fun detail. Scorpio is paired with more stones than any other sign, 126 of them. Taurus has the fewest, at 43.
The third way in is intention. The library groups stones under 24 intentions, from love and protection to creativity and new beginnings.
On each stone's own page, those associations come together. Most pages list the stone's signs and intentions, and every page names the chakras that holistic tradition pairs with it. Every page also closes with a note that these are what crystal traditions teach. They are not medical, mental health or financial advice.
Jillian Lange of Bliss Crystals put it this way. Quote. "Shoppers usually ask two things about a stone: what it means, and how to use it. The library puts both answers on one page." End quote.
Then the pages turn practical, with care guidance, the stone's hardness, how to use it, and links to real stones and jewelry from the Bliss Crystals catalog.
